The existing Parks and Recreation Master Plan was created in 2005.

The final master plan was adopted by Council on June 25th, 2018.

The Mill Lake Master Plan was approved at Council on July 22, 2025.

The City of Abbotsford is developing new standards for signage and park infrastructure across the city's parks and trail system. The goal is to make parks easier to navigate, safer, more accessible and welcoming for everyone. 

The City of Abbotsford is conducting a review and analysis of the Aquatics services and infrastructure in Abbotsford. This research and your feedback will allow the City to effectively plan for and fund current community needs and potential future Aquatic services and facilities.
